Add Impact Supports World Vision!
Toronto, Canada, December 2010 -- Remo Niceforo, President of Add Impact Inc. “We are pleased to announce our decision to enter into an ongoing and long-term commitment with World Vision Canada’s HopeChild program”. HopeChild is an organization designed specifically to help children and families who live in areas impacted by HIV and AIDS.
World Vision has been assisting children worldwide for over 60 years by tackling the causes of poverty. The Charity works with communities to meet their unique needs in essential areas such as, education, skills training, improved nutrition, agricultural assistance, safe water and health care. Now HIV and AIDS are jeopardising that progress. HopeChild assists the children and their families in these poverty stricken areas to ensure that the progression of HIV/AIDS stops with this generation.
Niceforo said “At this time of year, more than ever, we tend to reflect on our personal and business successes. We are extremely blessed. Our team and our business are going through an outstanding growth period. With so much opportunity, it’s important that we take time to remember that we have a social responsibility as well”.
At Add Impact, every member will select a child to sponsor. They will receive a picture of the child, personal information about the child’s family and village, as well as regular updates on their progress. In addition, team members can correspond with the child to offer on-going encouragement and hope.
Casual Fridays have also been implemented in order to raise funds to buy meaningful gifts for the children. $100 buys a child a goat which provides families with protein and income to help them survive and thrive.
This type of undertaking also creates a sense of camaraderie and a strong bond between our family members – “We want to make the world better…this is a part of our contribution” said Niceforo.
A hundred years from now, it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove. But the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.
